If you are immunocompromised or otherwise high risk, regardless of vaccine status, masking is recommended throughout the facility
Mask – Hospital-issued isolation mask. Gators and cloth masks are not acceptable under any circumstances where a mask is required.
Public Areas – Cafeteria, outpatient hallways, gift shop, Café 46, outpatient waiting rooms, etc.
Patient Care Areas – Inpatient hallways, inpatient elevators, any area where inadvertent prolonged contact with a patient is likely
Caregiver – A caregiver is someone who provides care to people that need some degree of ongoing assistance with activities of daily living, as well as assists with maintaining patient safety
Direct Patient Care Areas – Hospital patient room, doctor’s exam room, physical therapy, procedure rooms, imaging room, emergency department – any area where there will be direct interaction with a patient
PUI and COVID-19 + Patients – Any patient being evaluated for or diagnosed with COVID-19
Isolation Mask – Personal or hospital-issued surgical/procedural mask
N95 Mask – Mask that filters out 95% of particulate matter
Eye Protection – Protective goggles or a face shield
Up-to-date with COVID Vaccination – A person has received all recommended doses in their primary series of COVID-19 vaccine and a booster dose when eligible.
